This is little Nivea.
Nivea is approximately 3 to 4 years old and certainly needs some serious “after sun care”.
The vet believes that the damage to her face has been caused by serious solar damage or actinic keratoses. This can stay with no changes for many years or suddenly change in squamocell carcinoma.
Nivea will be on daily medication and total sun block cream when exposed to light.
Please remember To always protect your pets from the sun.
Lighter or white cats need sunblock, children’s high factor is the safest…. I find the high factor children’s lip balm or the sunsense roll on the easiest to apply.
