A Busy Night

We current have a very busy night ahead of us in BCWR’S Intensive care unit.
In out 2-bedded ward we have Amira in Unit 1 and Heather in Unit 2.

Both these lovely unfortunate girls have been in the vets all day.

Amira,( tabby) a 6 month old victim of abuse has a broken tail, bruising to her lumbar area and is traumatised by her experiences.
She is much more hydrated today following 36 hours on intravenous fluids, is much brighter and has started eating.
We are hoping to wean Amira out of intensive care over the weekend by reducing the temperature to normal room temperature and reduce her nursing needs where required.
Amira may need surgery at a later time but this is not yet known.
