Helping cats and their owners during adversity

On the 17th of April 2010 a beautiful boy was born.

Topple was a special kitty in more ways than you can imagine.

Topple

Topples legacy lives on in the creation of Topples Trust. The primary objective of this Trust is to respect and preserve the relationship between owners and their cats especially through periods of adversity. We hope to work in partnership with owners to overcome any difficulties that may arise. The Trust provides help with any aspects of care during difficult times for an owned cat to include but not limited to:

– Provision of cat food during financial hardship

– Seeking vet care

– Providing temporary accommodation

If you know anyone who may benefit from this scheme or you think that you qualify please do not hesitate to get in touch with us so that we can help support them through their adversity.

Topple’s Story

When Topple was born it was a very traumatic birth process and his umbilical cord became entangled around his neck causing hypoxia, (starvation of oxygen to his brain). For every one who knew him, Topple was a very happy chappy and loved every one he met, though he was very sensitive to those he was close to. He always lived at the rescue in his family home and worked hard making many public appearances as BCWR Mascot. He also brought joy to others as he worked as a PAT (Pets as Therapy) Cat. Topple became quite a celebrity cat at various venues and every one who met him loved him. After a short illness Topple was diagnosed with cancer, 3 masses in this abdomen and the primary in his pancreas. On the 2nd November 2016 Topple left us and we were heart broken. I personally have found this to be the greatest loss in my life and life for me will never be the same. Topple and I had such a special bond. When I was upset he provided comfort, when I was ill he too became ill. No one knew him or loved him like I did, Topple was my little lad, my everything.
