BCWR’s (not in) London Marathon
Early on in lockdown, our volunteers completed our Lockdown Marathon, by walking a combined 26 (and a bit) miles in and around our gardens on the weekend the London Marathon was due to take place.
This weekend as the London Marathon takes place virtually across the country, BCWR are going to complete our own marathon again, to raise vital funds.
We have really missed out on being able to run our planned fundraising events this year, so this is another way we can raise some money to go towards our current vet bill of £10,000 and to continue to provide the high level of care to cats and kittens most in need that we are so proud of.
The BCWR (not in) London Marathon is going to be taking place this Sunday, starting at 9am, and between our volunteers we will be completing 26 miles by 12 noon… IN AND AROUND OUR HOMES AND GARDENS.
Many of us are still shielding, self isolating and generally being COVID-Sensible. Some of our volunteers will be in fancy dress, some running / walking with their family members.
