Bertie and Betty Update
Its anazing what a little love, care and pain relief can achieve. This pair arrived with us through an out of area welfare referral. We were shocked when they arrived as they had virtually no mobility and very sore bottoms.
When we rushed them to the vets we believe them to have shocking injuries. Bertie feels like he has a badly fractured pelvis and Betty feels to have spinal injury.
Over the last few days their little bums are less sore, we are helping them pee and poop and managing leakage with “size 0 nappies”.
We are looking after them on our Critical Care Ward in intensive care and building them up with recovery liquid prior to X-rays for a full clinical picture.
