On 5th September 2019 little Captain Morgan was found in a Bradford school playground with a leg injury. When we got there his leg was literally hanging off. He had a VERY open fracture to his back left leg which was infected and his sciatic nerve was also exposed. This poor boy was rushed to our vets immediately and underwent hours of emergency surgery to amputate his leg and safe his life. Morgan was nursed by volunteers in the weeks following this operation and was put on intravenous fluids and pain relief.
A few weeks later Morgan was able to enjoy our SENSE garden and get some much needed fresh air after having his sutures removed and a check up at our vets.
