It is exactly 2 weeks ago today since little Cuba was left outside the rescue at 2am in the pouring rain.. only to be discovered by the refuse collectors from Bradford Council just before 7am who alerted me to him.
Many of you will already know that Cuba suffered catastrophic injuries including 4 broken legs, dental trauma, trauma to his tail and obvious psychological trauma.
I personally have never felt that his injuries quite fit with the idea of a Road Traffic Incident and over the last 2 weeks we have pieced together lots of information about Cuba, his injuries and the way in which he was brought to the rescue.
Now we have sufficient information that strongly suggests that Cuba have been a victim and caught up in a horrific domestic abuse situation… spanning over weeks and months.
Some of his injuries are new, some are old… and indeed we also now believe that the person who brought him to the rescue and left him was indeed saving his life.
Cuba is recovering well only 4 days after his surgery, he loves his food and purrs like a tractor.
Don’t forget Cuba will be be doing a Sponsored Walk this Sunday to help raise a little bit of funding to help pay for his treatment, surgery and months of care ahead of him.
