This autumn we have a huge plan to refit our Intensive Care Unit.

These improvements will allow a much more clinical setting and keep the space much more easy to keep clean. It will allow us to more easily maintain our exceptional high standards of care and hygiene for the safety of our cats and our volunteers.

Pictured below are Howden’s mock ups of what is planned. The brick effect will actually be white clinical cladding which will be easy to wipe clean. The space will allow for better organised storage for essential medicines, equipment and ICU space to ensure safety and comfort for all kitty patients for administrating medication and 24/7 care.

This is a huge project and we hope all our generous and kind supporters will help us rally together to bring this project together.

Our ICU space has helped Salty, Liberty (liver shunt), Meadow (arrived covered in bleach), Zac (horrendous fractures), Roger (now sadly passed earlier this year), Rosa (now happily re-homed), Winter (very ill on arrival and now bright as a button), Nemo (torn to shreds and thrown in Peel Park Lake). These are a just a few of the cats and kittens whose lives have been helped or saved within these ICU walls.

If you are a business looking to help sponsor our ICU unit for any length of time (a week, a month or two, a year) please get in touch via our Contact Page. We’d love to have your support.

Update 11th September 2024:

We launched our appeal to raise £5000 a few weeks ago and just two weeks in, kind donations meant we reached our halfway amount. We have taken a leap of faith and booked our builders for 4th November 2024 and hope to raise the remaining amount before then.

Thank you so much to all our supporter who have donated to this project and everyone who continues to support us every single day.
