Rosa Update

It is now 8 weeks since little Rosa arrived with us at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary .
Whilst we dont know what exactly led to her horriffic injuries affecting her legs and face we have been literally nursing her around the clock for 4 weeks…. both day and night.
Our best guess is that the substance she was covered in was likely to be fibreglass resin or something similar.

We cannot believe how brave beautiful Rosa is.
She was on intravenous fluids for the first 2 weeks.

Her special dressings initially were being changed twice a day , then once once a day…. then every other day… then every 2, 3 and 4 days … and guess what…. no dressings at all now!!

Rosa had full thickness burns on her head and these have remarkably filled in in the last 14 days.
It is highly likely that Rosa will need corrective eye surgery in the coming weeks so that she can blink!!

Rosa can certainly see and loves playing with her toys too.
Every one involved in her care …. and beyond is so invested and totally rooting for her recovery.

We are currently still weaning Rosa off Royal Canin Recovery Liquid and chicken… however this is taking longer than expected. We are increasing her Royal Canin Sensitivity pouches inbetween the liquid.
Rosas road to recovery continues with long road ahead of us.

In the Specialist Silicone Dressings alone ( not the bandages and wrap) we have used over £1500worth. .. but worth every penny.
Thankyou to everyone who has supported and donated towards Rosas care so far.
