Sweet William Update
It’s been a very long day for Sweet William.
He has spent the day at Leeds Veterinary Centre with Orthopaedic Specialist James who have re built Sweet Williams very broken leg.
The surgery was much more complicated than expected and the fracture too extensive for a ” simple” pin and plate procedure.
Sweet willinam has had to have an external fixator surgically placed to hold the bone in position as there was no healthy bone to stabilise the fracture.
Just to complicate things Sweet William has 5 pelvic fractures also….. so the poor lad has alit going on.
The surgery today alone has cost £1900, and he will need much physio and followup over tge next 10 weeks.
