Winter Update
Winter has been with us almost 7 months. Winter was such a poorly little girl when she arrived with us. She had 2 broken limbs, was unconscious for 2 days, was hypothermic, hypoglycemic, dehydrated, blind, had serious head trauma and suffered with seizures.
On the whole Winter has recovered well from her ordeal that began when she was 5 weeks old however she is still blind and does have seizures of varying degrees. Yesterday morning Winter had a very severe and prolonged seizure which required emergency and swift intervention. She was also on intravenous fluids for 24 hours however now she is much settled.
Sometimes we never know what is round the corner for some of the cats in our care however what we do know is that inbetween the ocassional difficult days Winter has a very fulfilled life full of enrichment and love.
