Yeti Update

eti Update at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary.

Yeti was taken to a vets in recent weeks as an injured stray.

He was caught up on barbed wire causing significant injury.

As he wasn’t recovering well they took an xray of his leg and realised his problems were far more complex.

Yeti had a metal pin in his leg which has been surgically implanted, as a result of an unknown previous Injury.

Unfortunately this pin was displaced and was sat in the groin area causing great discomfort.

Today Yeti went into surgery to see if the pin could be safely removed and if not amputation woukd be the only option.

The amazing team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery and skilled surgeon Gemma, located the pin in the bone and removed it successfully. ( video in comments).

There was a lot of fluid around the site of the pin.

We are hoping that this will greatly improve Yetis mobility and comfort….. but only time will tell.

Thankyou to everyone who supports us to help us help cats like Yeti.
