New arrival at BCWR.
This is beautiful and brave, Bilbo.
We believe Bilbo was a “semi looked after/ owned” stray until he presented looking like this.
When will people learn that feeding alone is not enough?
Bilbo has been in the vets all day having emergency treatment, including fluids, pain relief, and antibiotics.
Bilbo is very dehydrated, and goodness knows how long he has been in this state.
Due to his unstable condition, he was not well enough today for a general anaesthetic for radiographs, blood tests, and full examination to be able to get a clear clinical picture and complete the Jigsaw.
Bilbo is now back at BCWR in Critical Care, is on intravenous fluids, and strong pain relief overnight
Tomorrow morning, Bilbo will return to the vets.
