Carrie Update

Carrie Update.
Carrie has been with us just 6 days and look at how much she has improved.
When she arrived she was barely conscious, hypothermic, dehydrated and unable to eat or pee/poop.
She has spent the first 5 days on intravenous fluid therapy, has had many many tests examinations and seen specialists.
Earlier in the week she was having horrendous seizures and had emergency treatment for that.
Finally, 2 days after starting anticonvulsant medication she is starting her to feel a little brighter.
Unfortunately we do believe Carrie has suffered serious head trauma resulting in a traumatic brain injury causing blindness and neurological symptoms.
Carrie remains on our critical care ward in intensive care being looked after by our team.
