Foxy: Pyometra

Tonight at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary we are nursing Foxy.
Foxy had just finished nursing her cheeky kittens and has been to the vets today for a routine health check.

Foxy didnt quite feel right and scan revealled a life threatening condition called pyometra.

Pyometra is a bacterial infection in the uterus. It’s a potentially fatal infection that requires urgent medical treatment. The uterus of cats who have pyometra is filled with pus. Pyometra can occur in any cat who hasn’t been spayed,

Foxy is currently on intravenous fluid therapy, has had antibiotics and will be having emergency surgery tomorrow to hopefully nip ynis terrible and scary infection in the bud.
