Shadow Update
Another busy night ahead at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary.
Our critical care ward is full of poorly kitties and Shadow remains very poorly.
It is exactly a week since Shadow came to us barely conscious.
Whilst she has been getting brighter every day she is still unable to eat.
Today Shadow has been reviewed by our vets at Northcote Veterinary Surgery and we opted to attempt the risky procedure of placing an O-tube so that we can ensure Shadow gets all the vital nutrition to aid her recovery.
Weighing less than 600g, Shadow was so very brave today…
She had a general anasthetic and was super sleepy afterwards.
The procedure was a success and Shadow is very shouty this evening.
She will be fed Royal Canin Recovery Liquid through the tube every hour for the next 24 hours… we then hope to build her up to several small meals a day.
