The Power of his Paws

Carrots has been busy again today volunteering at Bradfords’ Marie Curie Hospice.

He visited patients on the ward, visitors and staff on the ward were very happy to see him.

In the final hours of life not only did carrots bring warmth and comfort to the patient, but also to the relatives too.

Volunteering at the hospice for me and Carrots is an absolute humbling and rewarding experience.Meeting people in their time of great need, offering a familiar comfort or even a distraction for patients, visitors and staff really does make a difference in their lives.

Please don’t ever see a hospice as a place of hopeless and despair. Marie Curie Hospice Bradford is very much a place of love, hope, understanding and positivity.
