Thumper Update

So little Thumper has been with us exactly 7 weeks today and in those 49 days she has made great progress.
She has had TENS THERAPY 3x a day at the rescue every day since she arrived.
Thumper is now fully mobile, can walk, run, climb and jump!
Thumper is loving taking herself outside and spending time in our specialist SENSE GARDEN where she can relax and also experience stimulation.
We cannot believe how determined her spirit is and how far she has come in just 7 weeks.

Thumpers Story

8 weeks ago we received her referral from a vets in Hendon near London and 7 weeks ago she arrived with us.

Poor little Thumper has had quite an ordeal these last 8 weeks. She was brutally attacked by another animal, probably a dog and when she presented at the vets she had a necrotic wound to her fore limb which resulted in amputation and following CT IMAGING, this revealed a crush injury – a non surgical fracture to her lumber spine.

She had no function of her hind limbs however whilst we were hopeful that once all the swelling reduces and the bones repair, she may have regained function of her hind limbs, but there were no guarantees.

We still have a long road to recovery together including intensive physiotherapy on all 3 limbs, which has already begun. Thumper is the most seriously injured cat we have nursed in a very long time.

She is such a sweet girl and is currently snoozing on this rainy July afternoon.
Thumper is going to need a lot of physical and financial support, and if you feel able to help, even by donating just £1, please see out DONATE page.
