Update: Polar bear resting post op at BCWR

So one week later, following major surgery to amputate both her ears, Polar has come into the rescue. Look at that first image – she’s already healing up and looking brighter. She arrived with us on the 8th December 2019 and this little friendly bear is recovering well. Her ears were amputated due to progressive squamous cell carcinoma caused due to solar damage.

Thank you to every one who donated towards her surgery. We do hope early next year that Polar will be available for adoption but for now adoption enquiries are not being taken at this stage.

Polar was our Purrfect Pound for December 2019. If you’d like to donate to continue to support her and other cats in our Pawspital please click here.
