Important Message: Panleukopenia

This is an important message for all visitors and volunteers at Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Bradford Cat Watch Rescue & Sanctuary

You may have read in the press in the last couple of days , about a nasty virus sweeping Bradford that is Cat specicific.

The virus is called panleukopenia and is a killer especially for elderly, young un vaccinated and immunocompromised cats / kittens.

All volunteers and visitors must adhere to the following.

When coming to the rescue for any reason it is essential that before you do ANYTHING..

-YOU GEL YOUR HANDS AT THE GATE

  • GO WASH YOUR HANDS IN HIBISCRUB FOR A MINIMUM OF 30 seconds.
  • APPLY GEL WHEN HANDS ARE DRY

…….. AND ONLY THEN CAN YOU STROKE ANY OF OUR CATS INCLUDING THE RANGERS.

❤️Please do not be offended if you are asked to wash your hands more than once❤️

It is also essential before leaving the rescue that you wash, dry and GEL your hands.

It is vitally important that all your own cats are fully up to date with their vaccinations.

As a rescue we are doing out bit to protect cats from this deadly disease and prevent a outbreak at the rescue.

Thankyou for your cooperation.
