Mango Update
Mango update.
Many of you will remember Mango who arrived with us 18 days ago.
Mango was taken to a vets in Bradford as a stray dumped in a garden.
Initial thoughts were that he had mild flu , an ear infection, constipation and deaf.
Over the last 18 days Mango has several tests, examinations and a Orthopaedic Specialist Radiograph Interpretation.
Whilst there are no obvious fractures his pelvis, it is some what askew.
It appears that his pelvis has been shunted which could be development issue however coupled with his presentation on arrival including blindness ( which was temporary), deafness, which remains, inability to stand and inability to pass pee or poop unaided, it is more likely tjat he has suffered horiffic head trauma and blunt trauma to his abdominal organs.
We are delighted to tell you than Mango is now Improving every day, peeing g and pooping on his own in the tray, enjoys enrichment and playtime with the volunteers, and is now able to walk and run.
Mango remains on our critical care ward as his mentation is poor, as is his coordination, and we are monitoring him very closely…. but he does get lots of cuddles .
