Nemo Update

It’s just over 24 hours since Nemo arrived with us, blue, limp, wet through and bleeding.
He was immediately transported on Oxygen therapy to Abbey House / Leeds Emergency Vets and has been there receiving critical care ever since.
He was stabilised last night and has had xrays to confirm a pneumothorax, had appropriate emergency treatment including antibiotics, intravenous fluids and pain relief.
Today little Nemo had surgery to repair all his injuries under general anaesthetic and remains in their care overnight tonight.
Poor Nemo is so.lucky to be alive and whilst we have no idea how he ended up in the position he was with the life threatening injuries sustained…What we do know is that he has been subject to horrific abuse in one way or another.
Whilst Nemo remains in a critical condition tonight we know he is making small steps of improvement
As most of you will know accessing Out of Hours Veterinary care is very expensive and this was a very serious incident.
We are so grateful for the amazing veterinary care we are able to access both at Northcote Veterinary Surgery and Abbey House for our out of hours care.
If you would like to donate towards Nemos care all the ways you can help are on our Donate page.
